Finally in Zambia!

I ACTUALLY GOT INTERNET ACCESS HERE SO I’LL BE TRANSFERING MY JOURNAL ENTRIES ONTO HERE. I CAN ONLY UPLOAD THE PICTURES FROM AFRICA. I’LL UPLOAD THE VIDEOS WHEN I GET BACK ON JULY 23. At the end of each post, I’ll add some pictures that were relevant to the day.

So after leaving the LAX airport on the 16th we are finally here in Lusaka, Zambia. This place looks the same as when I left it 4 years ago. This mission trip has been quite different because for the first time we aren’t traveling with the huge NAPS group. Things really ran smoothly when I was with them. I barely had to think about things like passports and entrance visas, now I do.

Today we basically bought a Celtel SIM card for my cell phone and we exchanged our dollars for Zambian currency. We are in Lusaka (the capitol) and Mwami Adventist Hospital is in Chipata. Our bus leaves for Chipata tomorrow at 6:30 hours. The trip will take 9 hours, but after that we will finally be done with the travel.

The jet lag is killing me so I’ll write more tomorrow.
