Yesterday I was walking outside the hospital (in my dress up clothes and short white coat ) and a little girl was sitting on a bench with her grandma. As I got closer to their bench the little girl jumped up air ran towards me. She then presented me a beautiful rose that I suppose she picked from a garden around the hospital. She said, “this is for you doctor “, with a huge smile. The grandma smiled also and told me that she really loves doctors. I accepted the flower and continued to my destination but overall my day was really made already. Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in all the things that make medicine suck but when these things happen it reminds me of why I made this sacrifice. So yeah, I was definitely happy for the rest of the day.
