| Wassup everyone!!! My first day of college being a sophomore went well. My day started off with breakfast at 7:00 a.m….. my god was it HORRIBLE; I just had grapes. My first class was Microbiology with Dr. Schmidt. She is a very eccentric lady, who didn’t go into medicine because it was too boring for her. After go through her syllabus, I realized that her class might be pretty challenging. My next class was Software Tools in the Business and Technology building. I know A LOT about computers and wanted to test out of this class, but after going through the syllabus today I realized that they teach us how to use Microsoft Access and Excel, neither of which I know or care to know how to use very well. My next class was organic chemistry with Dr. Laihing. It was pretty cool, we had worship and then he went right into a general chemistry review. It was all pretty slow coming back to me with the VSPER theory, Lewis structures, etc. He told us to basically review everything we learned in GCHEM last year because Friday we are starting Organic chemistry. My next class was Physics, and basically it was an orientation class, but it looks like physics will be fun. My last class was public speaking and that will honestly be the most boring class in the world. It starts at 1:00 which is just after lunch, and his voice is soft and the classroom is warm; it just encourages sleep. After my first day of classes, I went to Tech Support on campus to get them to turn on my internet in my room; then I climbed in a big dump truck bin to find my wallet (don’t ask how it got in there, but I found it). That was basically my day. I just bought some of my books for school. Normally all my books together would have cost around $500, but I used www.campusi.com and saved a bunch. Thanks to everyone who gave advice on what position in the biology department I should take. I have to decided to be …….(drum roll, ha ha) a biology lab instructor. I really hope that I’m not putting too much on myself because on Thurs. I’m already in physics lab from 8a.m. – 12 p.m. and then in ochem from 1:00- 5:15 p.m. Now that I’m a biology lab instructor, I’ll have to run to the freshman biology lab on thrusday which starts at 6 p.m and ends at 9p.m. That’s a really long Thursday. Pray for me yall, my mind really isn’t ready to get back into the grind of things. |  |
