So a took one of those medical aptitude tests at http://www.med-ed.virginia.edu/specialties/ and this are the top 10 specialties that matched my personality:
1 general surgery
2 obstetrics/gynecology
3 gastroenterology
4 colon & rectal surgery
5 nuclear med
6 pathology
7 otolaryngology
8 orthopaedic surgery
9 thoracic surgery
10 occupational med
If I can actually pass 1st and 2nd year, I would love to go into Gen. Surg. I think I’ll be more positive once my test week is over.
How accurate is the test? Are you interested in any of them? One of my posts on my blog has a graphical way of choosing a residency… although admittedly it’s a lighter take on things.

Hey man! I see you got a nice snazzy personalized domain name. I like! Anyway, I’ve always like Gen Surg, but I was totally surprised by my #2 choice, OBGYN. The more and more I think about it, the more I think I would like it. You can surgery, you get patient contact, and you get babies, all of which I enjoy. Who knows what the future will hold. What specialties are you interested in?
Well I’ve considered GSurg. I do like OBGYN as well for the reasons you mentioned. I’ve also thought about Oncology. My mom had cancer a couple years back and I volunteered a bit at a cancer center. But we’ll see. Who knows? Our rotations might inspire me to go a totally different route.
