THE MCAT IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT’S OOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m a tad excited to say the least that the MCAT is finally over. I truly felt the prayers of my family, friends and readers because I had absolutely no anxiety while taking the test. For some reason, it felt like just another practice test.

I had test form DG, and honestly, the sections weren’t crazy hard. The Physical Sciences section was like most AAMC Physical Sciences sections on the practice tests. One thing I liked about the PS section on the real test was that it didn’t have a crap load of calculation. Most of it could be estimated or it was conceptual. I actually finished the section which was a blessing.

The verbal section was kind of alright too. It didn’t have any art philosophy passages which did my heart well, because I just wouldn’t have read it, lol. I did have a really hard time getting through the section because each passage had like 6 paragraphs and 2 passages had 10 questions which are usually the bad ones because if you don’t comprehend the passage you get a lot of questions wrong. Anyway, when the proctor called 5 minutes, I was just finishing the first paragraph of the last passage so I really had to rush that one.

I was pretty happy with the proctors. They actually had snacks, orange juice, and water waiting outside the room for us during the breaks. Anyway, the writing section as alright. My first question was, “Current popular music must shed the conventions used in music in past generations” or something like that. Anyway, I thought the question was crap and I really wrote 2 pages of articulate BS. Anyway my second question was on how television has changed what we cherished forever or something like that. I liked the question and wrote I good essay I think.

The Biological Sciences section was alright. It had hardly any organic on it, and nothing was really hard. I finished with a little time to check over some stuff. Overall, I felt good about my MCAT test.

Its really amazing though. All the crying, stressing, self-doubt, and anger that went into this test and now its done, and I actually don”t feel like I even took it. Right now I don”t even feel like I was studying all summer. I’m just very glad that I didn’t have any anxiety through the test because that would havecrapped me up. But taking so many practice tests got me so used to the whole process that it really felt like another practice test, just a little longer than usual.

Anyway, I certainly don’t feel like I busted a 38 or anything, but I feel like I didn‘t regress. I’m expecting anything from a 25 to a 30. And honestly, I don‘t care where in that range I fall (although a 30 would certainly have me smiling for a couple of weeks).

School starts tomorrow, so hopefully I’ll get so wrapped up in my studies that I won‘t think about when my scores will arrive.
