Life is good

Life is good. This post won’t be too long; I just wanted to update you all on what’s happening. I moved in with my Aunt who lives down here in Huntsville. Even though I’m paying $50 more in rent, it’s a much better spiritual environment, and its closer to campus. I won’t have to worry about people I don’t know rolling weed in the living room, or people stealing my stuff. Its pretty nice over all. The semester has gone pretty well so far. I’m only taking 14 hours this year because I’m trying to work on saving up for Brittany’s engagement ring, so we’ll see how that goes. Human Anatomy class is so freakin cool!!! I feel like I’m in med school for real! Our teacher has required us to buy blue scrubs, so while we dissect the cadavers we really look like doctors. I know it doesn’t help you know the information better, but it really does make you feel better. Its so cool isolating the muscles, and learning the insertion and origin points. Right now we are only dissecting the back, but the more and more we dissect I realize how fearfully and wonderfully we are made. God really took care in just the forming of our muscles. Yesterday we isolated the serratus posterior inferior and superior muscles and it just amazed me how they were so thin, but functioned in pulling down/up our ribs. The muscle was just about thinner than paper but it was so powerful…I don’t know, it just spoke to me of God’s power.

Anyway, NAPS was gone for the better half of this week in Mississippi to help with the Hurricane relief. They told me that they saw a lot of houses with X’s painted on them, designating that there were dead bodies inside. It was really sad and the people there were really hungry. NAPS had a lot of feedings were (lol, just as we did in the foreign missions) we cooked food in a humungous pot and dished it out. My girlfriend (who actually went with them) told me that it literally looked liked a 3rd world country down there, which is really sad. Anyway, my prayers go out to them.

I’m trying my best not to think about the MCAT, and I just hope that I get anywhere over a 26. But I’m pretty sure that I don’t want to go through this test process again, so whatever the Lord gives me, I’ll take.

Anyway, that’s what’s going on with me. A lot of evacuees are arriving tomorrow in Huntsville, so a bunch of us are going out to pass out food and just bring love to them; so I can’t wait for tomorrow. Anyway, I’ll write later.

Oh yeah, my b-day was last Sunday and my girlfriend (who’s a corn bread American) made me some curry chicken and rice and peas; lol, I was so proud of her. 🙂
