Life has been good so far. I’ve kind of gained my drive back. Gross anatomy is getting kind of hard since the teacher only believes in essay tests, not multiple choice. Anyway, Plant biology is actually becoming bearable, so yeah, we’ll see how things go. The MCAT scores came out on Friday, but I left for a NAPS retreat that day so I couldn’t post them then. So yeah here’s my break down: PS: 8, VR:9, BS: 10 = 27N
Many people may feel sad for me, but I’m pretty happy. I studied as hard as I could, and I did pretty well. My diagnostic was a 19, so I guess Kaplan does have some merit, LOL. Yeah, at my school, the highest I’ve heard so far in my class was a 30, but most of us fell in between 26 and 29. My goal was a 30, but sometimes goals aren’t always reached. But honestly, I am happy with my score. I think the Lord knew what I needed. My score is just high enough that I’m happy, but not so high that I start feeling like I’m a super genius. But yeah, I’m still a junior so I’ll apply with these scores next year. I could write more but I have a butt-load of tests this week, so I’ll have to write later. TTYL.
I am in a similar situation as you were in. I got a 20 on my Kaplan diagnostic and am shooting for a 30, but think I will end up with a score around a 27. I realize you took the MCAT exam a while ago, but do you remember how long you studied? How did you cope with low scores on the practice material and did you study for the MCAT during school or in a summer break?

I studied for my entire summer break. I started using the Kaplan classes but our teachers sucked so I stopped going to the classes and just used their practice tests and study books. It was quite difficult initially to cope with the low scores, but I started to get more hope as my practice scores started to rise late a month before I took the real thing.you have to keep trucking, have faith that God is leading you regardless of your score, and do as many bloody questions as possible along with reading their explanations.
