So I went on call with a Urology resident last night although it was a tad bit different because urology residents take home call. So the resident texted e and told me that she of course is on home call and she will text me if she actually has to go in. At about 11 p.m. I texted her to see if she had forgotten me because I just couldn’t believe that she hadn’t needed to to into the hospital yet. She messaged me back and said that nothing is going on and that she is actually out pumpkin carving, lol. I’m sure that life as a urology resident isn’t always that good but it seems a heck of alot better than in house call that ortho and gsurg takes. But I don’t know…I feel like I would enjoy being busy but I’m still trying to figure out what type of life I want to live. It certainly seems like orthopedics will put more a strain on my marriage than urology would and gsurg is probably smack dab in the middle.
I have my OBGYN shelf exam coming soon and I feel like I am running out of time. Hopefully I can catch up on all of my studying today.
