So every Tuesday the orthopedics residents and attendings meet for their basic science conference where they go over new journal articles or practice drilling into composite bone or other cool stuff. Normally when I go to these meetings its usually the same 3rd /4th year med students that I see, but this past Tuesday I saw some that I had no idea were interested in orthopedics. I started to get a little scared because all of those people are so smart but in the end if we all play our cards right we will match somewhere that will make us happy. I just wish that ortho was like urology is for LLU right now where no 4th years are even applying to LLU this year.
The more and more that I read about pediatric orthopedics the more I get excited about it. I recently found the blogs of 2 peds ortho guys and they are really inspiring. Truly any doctor can be used by the Lord as a missionary. You can view the blogs below:
